There is no story.

Okay, maybe little story...
I feel like I haven't visited the site in years, but it's only been a day.
Can you believe it? A WHOLE DAY WITH NO NAPALM!!
It hurt.

So anyway, to continue the trend::

"Graphics technology company Nvidia has announced it is acquiring gaming physics company Ageia to bring the latter's PhysX solution to Nvidia's GeForce graphics hardware cards."

That's right, kids. nVidia is buying out those beautiful people over at Ageia. Physics hardware for the masses, bitches!

    I KNEW IT!

That is exactly why I have not got a PhysX card. I knew NVIDIA was going to buy them!

Worrying is about as effective as chewing gum to solve algebra

Maybe the PhysX cards will do a little more than reduce FPS now, then.

I go where I please, and I please where I go

HA! I feel sorry for the sucker who laid down $400 for that peice of crap. Oooh CellFactor, realistic fabric... bouncy crates... I want to spooge it in my face mmmm...

But yes. My next card shall be NVidia. ATI's physics crossfire solution was a bit weird though, Crossfiring with and old card? Those crazy canadians.

My current card is NVidia. I used to be an ATI whore, but they have gotten so far behind ever since NVidia introduced their 8000 series and SLI.

SLI does sound good, if you can afford it. Crossfire V1 was ridiculous, and V2 still doesn't work properly.

Yeah, crossfire is utterly terrible. I don't know anyone that has it, because it's a waste of money. SLI is really good, like you said, if you have the money, however the NVidia cards are good on their own.

I've only ever had one issue with Xfire, and that was because the two cards were different physically (Same model, same manufacturer, serial numbers were barely different). That issue went south with the 7.11 drivers.

I'm currently running Xfire with a pair of 3870's - With no issues what so ever.

That said, it doesn't excuse ATi from the until now pisspoor cards. The 2x00 series cards were an absolute joke.
